Week 7

Hi 2nd Graders,

This is our last week for keyboarding, you guys have done a great job! Please go to DanceMat Typing and do Level 2 stage 6 (Q P) Flamingo. Make sure you have your hands on home row and cover your hands. Please keep your eyes on the screen and don't watch your hands.

After 25 minutes of keyboarding please play Big Brainz for 15 minutes addition or subtraction you choose.

Week 5

Hi 2nd Graders,

We are going to continue on with keyboarding, you guys are doing great, we are onto level 2, stage 4 the TY lesson or Hippo.

Please practice for 20 minutes with your eyes on the screen and not watching your hands. Please cover your hands with a dish towel or something like that so you can learn good habits while you keyboard.

Optional Extension Activity

Go to ABC Paint and draw a picture of something you have learned how to do since we started school from home. It can be something outside something inside, something like reading or painting. What cool new stuff have you been learning? Draw me a picture. You can even type in your picture. I will show you how. Please watch the video to see how to use the parts of ABC Paint.

Week 4

Hi Second Graders,

I hope you all had a great week! I know I sure did. I went on some walks, played some games and worked on my backyard.

What did you guys do for Spring Break?

This week for our homework we will continue our keyboarding practice. We are going to finish the first level today. Yay! way to go and work hard.

Remember to sit up straight and put your hands on home row. Right hand on JKL; and left hand on FDSA. When you are typing make sure to cover your hands and only watch the screen. So you can learn to type without looking at the keyboard. Type for 25 minutes, or longer until the stage 3 is finished.

Computers Week 3

Hi 2nd graders how are you? I am hoping that the weather will be warm this week and we can all go out and spend some time in the warm weather.

For computer homework this week please do the next DanceMat lesson letters E & I Remember when you type, cover your hands (with a paper or dish towel) and look at the screen not your fingers ok? That is really important. This is the link to DanceMat.
