Good Morning and Happy Tuesday Everyone,

I hope you all enjoyed the Google Meet. Hopefully it helped put a smile on your face. Today in Kids Corner I am going to show a lot of different Science Experiments. If you would like to do some Science Experiments at home and have your parents video it, I would love to share them on Kids Corner. We are wrapping things up for the year so I only have a couple of things for you to do for work today. Lets's get started.

Mountain Language #6-10

You should have one of these papers in your packet and you should have done #1-5 yesterday. You can use the one from last week if you still have it. The Mountain Language Poster is in the top corner of the screen!

Lexia

Today we are doing Lexia. We have been asked by the Principal to really encourage you to get to the 3rd grade level which is level 13. You need to do 20-30 Lexia minutes and 20-30 minutes reading a book. On Lexia don't forget to try and get at least 6 units in that 30 minutes. Please try to reach the class goal and make the Principal smile. Click on the link below and get started. Work hard for the next 30 minutes and don't forget to do some reading as well today. If you can't do both, just focus on Lexia if you haven't reached level 13 yet.

Story Packet

Today in your story packet we will be doing the following page. On the top of the page you are going to match the words to their meaning. They have done the first one for you. Whole means all of something. Think of a whole pie, that would mean all of the pie. Now look at #2 Several means more than two or three but not many. If you have several toys it is more that one but not a whole bunch. You have two or three.

Down on the bottom of the page find the words in the story that would make the sentences complete. On #1 it says, "May I have a drink," asked the boy. "I'm very __________." What word could you put in the blank that is in the story? Thirsty would make sense. If you want a drink you usually want it because you are thirsty. On #2, it says, " A _______________ is 365 days long." I'm not sure if you are aware of this but a "year" is 365 days long. So the word you should put on #2 is year. Try the other 3 on your own.

Today you should be doing #171. Only 7 more days of school. If you would like to you can do more numbers of the day and go ahead you can. You only need to do to #178. There are 178 days in the school year.

For your word problem book you can just find the next Tuesday after the Monday you did yesterday and keep going from there.

Today you should be working on your End of the Year Test if you haven't done it yet. You can do the whole thing or do part today and the rest tomorrow. If you have done it already you can skip math for today or go onto ST Math. Remember you do not have to do the green measurement paper or the Chapter 8 & 9 Measurement Test.
