Today you need to
Draw or print a picture/pictures of your animals.
Draw or print a diagram (possible choices are the life cycle, eating habits, migration habits).
Draw or print a map of where your animal's habitat is (In your packet there is a map for Australia and South America- you could copy and use it if you can not find one. You will need these later, so make a copy).
Paste each of these on a separate paper for your animal book.
Put a title, caption, and label on each. (Picture, diagram, and map)
Hint: If your pictures are too big for your book you can fold them so they become a pop out page.
Labels are one to two words that tell what something is. Captions are a sentence that describes the diagram or picture.
Tell your parent why pictures, diagrams, maps, labels, and captions help you understand how to read a nonfiction book.
