Parental Engagement & Family Learning
At Ryde Academy we believe that parents and carers, along with other stakeholders (all staff, students and the wider community), are integral to Academy life and student achievement. We want parents/carers to be involved wherever possible and for the Academy to be a welcoming place to visit. A big part of this is our Family Learning programme to which all parents, carers and family members are welcome.
Easter Pots and Year 11 Exam Preparation

During March and April we are running several Family Learning events :
Firstly our annual Easter Pot making sessions will take place on Wednesday 27 March and Wednesday 3 April (4.45pm to 6.15pm) - During session one you will make a ceramic Easter pot and then decorate your pot during session two. Students must be accompanied by an adult; parents, grandparents and family friends are all very welcome. Refreshments will be provided. There will be a cost of £1.50 per person, payable during the first session, towards the cost of materials.
For our Year 11 students we have organised Exam Preparation sessions to help parents/carers in supporting students in preparing for exams. These will be informal sessions to offer tips and strategies on how to support your child. The sessions are :

Science: Wednesday 20 March
English: Thursday 21 March
Computer Science: Tuesday 23 April
A maths session will run after Easter for invited students.
