Not only do we aim to provide the very best for every student, we also offer excellent career development prospects for our staff. The opportunity for career advancement is available to everyone. We prioritise internal promotions, which helps us to retain our fantastic team. Over 60% of our existing staff are in promoted positions from when they first joined the Academy.
Judged as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in November 2022, Ryde Academy is a school that pupils feel proud to attend, with a calm and orderly environment. Staff are also proud to work at the school and recognise that leaders are considerate of their workload.
Staff well-being is essential for creating a positive and productive learning environment. When teachers are stressed and burned out, it can impact their teaching and the well-being of their students. That's why we feel it is so important to provide opportunities for staff to relax, recharge, and rejuvenate.
Earlier this year, we ran a variety of activities with a wellbeing focus including yoga, karate, reiki, disco fit, using AI to reduce workload, voice care and gym inductions. It was wonderful to see our staff enjoying these sessions.
We also hold a number of wellbeing themed sessions throughout the year, including termly workload reviews.
