Admission Arrangements

Academies Enterprise Trust is the admissions authority for Ryde Academy. AET Admissions Guidance is available here.

Applications for places at the academy will be made in accordance with Isle of Wight Authority’s co-ordinated admission arrangements. They will be made on the Common Application Form and administered by the the applicant’s home Local Authority. 

Admission of children outside their normal age group.

Parents may request that their child is admitted outside their normal age group. To do so, parents should include a request with their application, specifying why admission outside the normal age group is being requested and which year group they wish their child to be admitted. Decisions will be made based on the circumstances of the case and in the best interests of the child.

Any objections to the determined admission arrangements should be submitted to the Office of the Schools Adjudicator (OSA)
