Trips and Visits

In accordance with health and safety legislation and guidance, Ryde Academy risk assesses all educational visits and school trips to ensure appropriate control measures are in place to lower risk.

Included are any activity or trip where students are leaving the school site, such as but not exclusive to swimming, sporting events and local area walks.

Any trips to the mainland are carefully considered to ensure road conditions, ferry cancellations and delays are factored into the risk assessment.

Parents and carers contact details are always available to the trip leader so that any changes to trips and visits can be communicated to parents effectively.

Unfortunately, there are a number of changeable factors that could impact upon a planned trip or visit. We try where possible not to cancel these but if there are risk factors beyond our control then a trip or visit may be cancelled or rescheduled.
