EAL (English as an additional Language)

at Lea Forest

A warm welcome to EAL at Lea Forest.

Our pupils’ and staff are passionate in all we do to provide an inclusive and personalised curriculum to ensure every single child is able to find their remarkable!

At Lea Forest, we always embrace every opportunity to strive and show our remarkable through embracing cultural diversity, adaptation of activities using a vast array of multilingual resources, such as: dictation pens, widgets to translate and subject-related sentence stems, and collaboration with families.

We are proud to have literacy enriched environments that support our EAL children learning survival, social, functional and academic language. These skills are learnt through specialised teaching and personalised learning through a wide range of real-life and engaging activities, such as celebrating

World Language and experiencing cultures first-hand through dance, cooking and languages – what great fun we have!

Our EAL children strive in the environments that our dedicated staff create and experiences offer to them which allows them more opportunities to be all they can be.
