This is the second year that exams have taken place as normal, but schools across the country are still dealing with the impact of the pandemic.

Staff from Kingsley Academy and across AET, a national network of schools, were celebrating some phenomenal results from students, including:

To support them and help prepare them for their exams, staff at Kingsley Academy laid on additional revision sessions during the holidays, targeted intervention and opportunities to attend numerous workshops to further their knowledge and understanding.

Principal, Bob Tinsley of Kingsley Academy said:

“I am immensely proud of every student who has received their results today. This year group have faced so much disruption over the past 4 years and the results they have all achieved are testament to the dedication and determination they have demonstrated throughout their time at Kingsley. As a school we wish every student all the best and we cannot wait to hear about all the exciting and incredible achievements our students go on to achieve”.

Michael Feely, Regional Education Director for secondary schools at AET said:

“We are all so incredibly proud of our sixth formers today; they have worked so hard and shown great resilience over the last few years. I am delighted that they have done so well. I know how much today means to the staff team too – they have been there every step of the way providing support and encouragement and I know they will be full of emotion at how well the students have done. Zara, George, Nikita, Jericho and Cassandra have done particularly well, and I wish them the very best for their next exciting steps”.

Schools Minister, Nick Gibb said:

“Congratulations to all those receiving their results for their A Levels and GCSEs this summer. Students at Kingsley Academy should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved and we are hugely grateful to teachers for all their hard work.

“For many pupils, these will have been the first formal set of exams they have ever taken and we have done everything that we can to ensure they are walking away with qualifications that hold value now and in the future.

“These results will enable pupils to take the next step in their lives, whether that’s in further education, an apprenticeship or the workplace and I wish them all the best whatever they decide to do”.
