Philosophy of Education is a graduate-level course that provides students the opportunity to look at three classical-philosophical bases of education. The course lets students think about such educational assumptions as the nature of the learner, the nature of the learner's world, and the role played by education. This course guides students to think about those assumptions through the eyes of the ancient Greek philosopher Plato, the modern French philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau, the contemporary American philosopher John Dewey, and the Jesuits.
