This is the Basic level in the study of the Logic of Judgments. Here we study the logical form of the simple categorical or attributive proposition. This level, good for one week, has five lessons: 1) General Notion of the Proposition (pp. 27-8); 2) Basic Elements of the Attributive Proposition (pp. 28-30); 3) Quantity, or Extension, of Proposition (pp. 30-2); The Symbols A, E, I, and O (pp. 32-4); and 5) Logical Form (pp. 39-45).
Alongside the reading activity, there are three types of activities in this unit. Quizzes will help you understand the ideas you encounter. Reflection activities will help you consolidate your thoughts. A discussion with the class will help deepen your insights.
Successful completion of each assigned activity is necessary to move on to the next lesson.
