We were so lucky to have local Aberdeen chefs come into our school and undertake a workshop with us in rm3. We learned all about health, safety and cleanliness. We did some food tasting and even prepared our own smoothies.

As always we had the best afternoon with Mr Miller. We explored our outdoor areas and used our imagination to create lots of different things.
We loved wearing red or pink on Valentines day! We had a lovely day full of love and laughter. Some of us even got some Valentines cards.
During our Science topic we have been learning about germs and diseases and how they spread. We used glitter as the germs. We discovered germs don't like soap and they try to get away from us as fast as they can.
We loved having our families in to show off all of our learning around literacy. We had writing, spelling, reading and much more! Everyone was very impressed and Miss Thomson was so proud of us.

We had the fantastic opportunity for Teddy Bear Hospital to come and join us for the afternoon. They were showing us lots of cool things. We even got to share our knowledge of organs and bones that we have been learning about in our science topic.
What a great first trip to the library for P2/3! They had a great time and cannot wait to read more of their books.
P2/3 have had the best time with Mrs Forbes learning all about Scottish Dancing. They have worked so hard over the past few weeks that they invited Miss Thomson along to watch them perform. We are so proud of all there hard work and effort.

We had another fabulous session with Greg again at RADS today! We always get so excited for Tuesdays where we can take the skills we have been learning the previous week and continue to build upon them. We always start the lesson off with a warm up to get our bodies warm and moving. This RADS session was fabulous as we were able to incorporate our patience and building skills.
Well done to our Room 3 star of the week! For excellent effort during maths jobs this week and taking his learning one step further. Well done!!

We had the best afternoon with our families who were able to come into our class. We were able to show them all the big jobs we have been learning to do and how that links to our maths learning.
Just a reminder that on Monday (30.9.24) we have our very first curriuclum open afternoon. You are welcome to come into your childrens classes and get to work with them as they complete their numeracy jobs! We cannot wait to have you all in room 3 with us.

Well done to our Room 3 star of the week! For fantastic contributions in RADS and for being a great captain. Well done!!
Our science outcomes this term is topical. We researched different science articles to see what the most interesting case there was currently. We were most intrigued by the mummified wolf story that we wanted to explore it further. Before we could even start learning about the mummified wolf we thought it would be a good idea to see how it felt first. We discovered why this process takes so long and why they have to be super careful.

We always get so excited for Tuesdays where we can take the skills we have been learning the previous week and continue to build upon them. We have been super lucky recently to have the NHS come to visit us. They came to talk all about why sleep was important.
We had another session with Greg again today! This was our best one yet. We had a new captain today and he smashed it! We played a new game called Space Invaders and Greg told us he has played this many times in many schools with many classes and he has NEVER seen a child beat him as many times as one of our P2 boys did. Well done B, enjoy being captain next week! I am very proud of you.
We have been recently enjoying doing our daily writing during our school day. We have targets that we have to meet and we get so excited when that happens. Our favourite part is looking at a picture as a prompt and developing our amazing ideas.
We have been in our new classroom for 4 weeks now! WOW! We have had so much fun exploring and discovering new things and new adventures with our friends.
When we came back to school this year we were lucky enough to have some RADS coaches join us! Every week on a Tuesday we spend some time with Greg who teaches us new games, resilience and teamwork! We love it.
