05.09.24 - NHS Sleep Workshop
We learned lots of facts about sleep and why our bodies need to have enough sleep.
We completed an activity where we unshuffled a bed time routine - we learned that lots of us do similar things at bedtime, but not always in the same order.
We had a chance to practise some mindfulness activities including deep breathing and listening to music.
We worked on sitting quietly and concentrating on each part of our body and how it was feeling. We all felt quite relaxed afterwards!
This week we learned about what the Pupil Council does in school. The boys and girls had a careful think and some put themselves forward to take on the role of Pupil Council Representative for Room 2. They shared with the class why they thought they would be good in the role. All of the children did a fantastic job and showed great confidence.
We are so excited to have one of our P1's taking on the role this year and we are all sure she's going to do a great job!

P2 CLIC targets - Term 1, week 3
Week beginning 02.09.24
Our Pupil of the Week was chosen for being a fantastic example of our school aims and values.
She has shown that she is a good leader and has been so kind in helping our P1's settle into their first full week of school.
Well done, I'm so proud of you!
We spent some time together with our friends in P1, room 1.
We did some Yoga which is good exercise for our bodies and our minds.
We showed good listening skills and worked on calming our minds and bodies.
It was so difficult to choose a pupil of the week for our first week of Term 1. All of the boys and girls in room 2 were absolutely fantastic.
Our new P1's came and explored the classroom, got involved in lots of play and are already demonstrating some of our school aims and values.
Our returning P2's have come back ready to learn and are already showing their leadership skills in supporting our P1's to settle in to our class.
I am so proud of every single member of P1/2 and so the whole class are Pupils of the Week!
