Rock climbing helps to develop muscular endurance and dynamic muscle strength, flexibility, coordination, balance and mental and physical focus. It also focuses on teamwork, building self confidence, trust and motivation.
Through climbing, one can learn to cope with fear and stress, and develop self-reliance, as you will find that its all about you and the wall. Through belaying (action of securing the rope for the climber in the event he/she should fall), one can learn about taking responsibility for others. By taking up leadership roles, you will get the chance to hone your leadership skills through organizing activities and leading training.
Climbers will also get to go for technical skill courses such as the SNCS Level 1 & 2 climbing courses.
We welcome those with or without experience. Come join us OFF THE GROUND!
