Symphonic Band

Brief description of CCA activities and prerequisite(s), if any:

Since its formation in 1984, VJC Symphonic Band has endeavoured to nurture its students' musical proficiency and to develop in them a life-long interest in music. In this spirit, the band has staged numerous public concerts over the years including “Limelight” concert at the Esplanade annually, and also participates in music festivals, attaining a Certificate of Distinction in the Singapore Youth Festival 2023 Arts Presentation. In living up to the Victorian spirit, VJC Symphonic Band is not all work and no play. The band also organises chalet gatherings, outings and camps. The camaraderie and strong friendships forged within our band can be seen through our interactions together, be it during band practices or after CCA hours. Come join us if you believe music is life! That’s why our hearts have beats…!
