Brief description of CCA activities:
Earth Watch is a CCA in Victoria Junior College that aims to raise awareness about the importance of caring for the environment. In this CCA, members plan events and projects to build a greener College campus. In doing so, members learn about cultivating various flowers and crops, get to know like-minded people and have fun pursuing their passion.
In addition to the promotion of greenery, members also undertake other projects to conserve the environment. The VJC Earth Week is one such event that serves to remind VJC students of the importance to reduce, reuse and recycle. One example of a recycling project is the Food Waste Recycling. Students will also get the opportunity to participate in national events such as environmental competitions, workshops and talks (e.g. those organized by Sembcorp Greenwave and NParks Nature Outreach).
Students do not require any prior knowledge nor special equipment to be part of this CCA. A passion to play a part in saving our environment, active participation in the activities and regular attendance are expected.
