Imagine everything you thought you knew yourself and who your family was turns out to be a lie. Inge was raised to be a good German Nazi growing up in Berlin, but at the end of the World War II she finds out that her life was based on a lie. In 1946 she and her friend, who she has promised to take care of, arrive in the United States as refugees with new names. Inge is now known as Eva, and she is afraid that the people who are helping them will find out the truth. Both the United States and the Soviet Union want Eva to find her father. One country wants her father to continue the work he was performing in the concentration camps, and the other wants to put him on trial for war crimes. She wants revenge on her father for all of the innocent people he experimented on. In her search to find her father, Eva finds out that she was also one of her "father's" experiments. She will also find who her real family is and figure out who she truly is.
