R. F Jackaby and his assistant Abigail Rook are at it again. The have been asked to investigate another mystery. This time they travel to rural Gads Valley. There have been a series of gruesome murders. One of the deceased had a strange puncture wound on his neck. Animals in the valley have also been murdered. Even more peculiar, a huge fossil has been discovered. But this fossil is different. It is not like anything paleontologists have ever seen before. Could the all these events be connected?
