TESDA NCR - MuntiparLasTaPat District joins Las Piñas - Parañaque Wetland Park Coastal Clean-up Operations

            TESDA NCR- MuntiParLasTaPat District’s Quick Response Team (QRT) led by Dir. Balmyrson M. Valdez, together with National Solid Waste Management Commission (NSWMC) and Parañaque City of College, conducted an immediate coastal clean-up drive at Las Piñas- Parañaque Wetland Park on January 31, 2020.

            Along with thousands of volunteers from other government agencies such as MMDA, DENR, PNP, Coast Guard and Philippine Navy, these agencies actively participated by picking up trashes and segregating those wastes to achieve the “zero waste advocacy” which promotes waste reduction, eliminating the volume & toxicity of waste materials, conserving and recovering out natural resources, as well as eliminating diseases from water pollution, resulting to a healthier and safer community in Las Piñas and Parañaque.

Committee on Environment and Natural Resources, commended the participating agencies that helped and supported the government’s initiative to protect the environment. She also mentioned the importance of the efforts between the government agencies and private sectors for the future plans and proposals in relation to the improvement of the waste management in our country.
