TESDA - NCR Commenced the very first Multiplier Training for Contact Tracing Level II Program
September 10, 2020 – The TESDA NCR Regional Office intensifies the Contact Tracing Level II Program by conducting a Multiplier Training beginning today, with 30 Participant-Trainers from the 6 Districts of the region – CAMANAVA, MANILA, MUNTIPARLASTAPAT, PAMAMARISAN, PASKMAK, and QUEZON CITY.
Dr. Joel John Dela Merced and Dr. Joey Cadano are the Lead Trainers for the first batch. The training will run for 7 days (approx. 48 hours), full online with a combination of synchronous and asynchronous approaches.
TESDA - NCR MuntiParLasTapat District opens the First Contract Tracing Level II Training Program
September 4, 2020 – TESDA Director General, Sec. Isidro Lapeña congratulates TESDA-NCR especially the MuntiParLasTaPat District for being the first among the hundreds of TESDA Technology Institutions across the country to conduct the very first batch of training for Contact Tracing Level II with 25 trainees to pioneer the program. The virtual launching was attended by TESDA Deputy Director General Lina Sarmiento, TESDA-NCR Regional Director Florencio Sunico, Jr., Dr. Jaya Ebuen from the Department of Health, and Dr. Nelson Silva, as the representative of TESDA MuntiParLasTaPat District partner LGUs.

Convergence Meeting to discuss the updates on the PRLEC-NCR Urban Community Agriculture Project.
The virtual meeting was headed by the TESDA NCR Regional Director Florencio F. Sunico Jr., and was attended by forty-six (46) representatives coming from the various cluster-member agencies – DTI, DOLE, DOT, MMDA, DPWH, NICA, PSA, CPA, PCUP, AFP JTF-NCR, DepEd, PAFCMOG; together with the six district offices of TESDA-NCR including the CLGUS, TVI Partners, Southern Institute of Maritime Studies, and barangay officials from the identified pilot communities for the urban garden project.
The PRLEC-NCR highlights its support to the President’s directive to provide food security and sustainability across the country with its agri-related programs. Strengthened partnership with various agencies from the region promotes and reinforces the establishment of urban community agriculture to ensure availability and accessibility to a safe and fresh food in the urban areas especially today, amid the COVID 19 Pandemic.

TESDA-NCR led the opening of the 2nd NATIONAL TECH-VOC DAY at the Senate Building on August 27, 2019 with its once secretary and now a senator, Hon. Joel Villanueva. He was joined by the TESDA Secretary, Director General Isidro S. Lapeña in the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon to officially opened the exhibit with featured success stories of TVET graduates and skills demonstration including the showcase of expertise by our Senator Joel Villanueva as a certified Barista NC II holder. Two of our hardworking senators in the country, Hon. Sen. Cynthia Villar and Hon. Sen. Sherwin "Win" Gatchalian were also present during the opening of the exhibit.

1st Meeting of the NCR Regional Task Force - Poverty Reduction, Livelihood and Employment Cluster (RTF-PRLEC) held in TESDA, Taguig
TESDA-NCR has been tasked to lead the regional cluster on PRLEC with the aim to develop self-reliant, resilient and sustainable communities through harmonized and culturally responsive developmental programs in pursuit of the country's peace agenda.
Regional Director, Conrado G. Bares headed the 1st meeting for the Regional Task Force on Poverty Reduction, Livelihood and Employment Cluster of the National Capital Region (RTF-PRLEC NCR) on August 14, 2019 at the TESDA Women's Center. Participating agencies in the region were composed of the Department of Trade & Industry (DTI) with RD Marcelina Alcantara, Commission on Population and Development (POPCOM) with RD Lydio Español, and representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) PNP- National Capital Region Police Office (PNP-NCRPO), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Tourism (DOT), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), Department of Environment & Natural Resources (DENR), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP), Philippine Information Agency (PIA) and National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP)
The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority’s (TESDA) and the Department of Transportation (DOTr), launched the scholarship program “Tsuper Iskolar,” in the National Capital Region (NCR)
More than 800 beneficiaries trooped at the Muntinlupa Sports Complex in Tunasan, Muntinlupa City, on June 28, 2019. The program shall provide training on various skills which include qualifications from the metals and engineering sector, electrical and electronics sector, tourism, garments and textiles, automotive and information and communications technology (ICT) sectors, among others.
This initiative shall improve the livelihood of public transport drivers in line with the government’s Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP).
