TESDA NCR attends the series of Luzon Symposium on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

            TESDA- NCR Regional Director Florencio F. Sunico Jr., attended the series of Luzon Symposium on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as Response to the Future of Work and the Challenges of New Globalization, Climate Change and the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) on February 7, 2020 at Bayview Hotel, Roxas Blvd, Manila. Organized by Federation of Free Workers (FFW), Employer’s Confederation of the Philippines in cooperation with Danish Trade Union Development Agency (DTDA).

            RD Sunico, tackled TVET for Poverty Reduction, Green Jobs and 4IR focusing on the new Tulong Trabaho Law. This law provides free training fees and financial aids for the beneficiaries, strengthening the qualifications for the Filipino workers towards a more competitive Filipino workforce. RD Sunico, also encouraged the invited companies and unions to utilize the TESDA scholarships free trainings in relation to enterprise- based programs mentioning the benefits that these enterprises and unions may access under the Tulong Trabaho Law.

            This symposium aims to: promote Principle- based, Inclusive and Business Sustainable Corporate Social Responsibility; craft mechanisms to battle the challenges in the enterprise/ industry; as well as address the economic, social and labor market challenges brought by the new globalization and climate change.
