Scholarship @ TESDA CaMaNaVa

Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) provides different scholarship programs such as Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP), Private Education Student Financial Assistance (PESFA) and Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) which gives access for all Filipino to have a high quality, efficient and relevant training that they can give them immediate employment.

One of the scholarship programs implemented by TESDA is the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) which the Filipinos were given the chance to have a free training and assessment to their preferred courses. For this past six months, TESDA CaMaNaVa District Office had graduated more than 500 scholars under TWSP. They took up different courses such as Cookery NCII, Food and Beverage Services NCII, Bread and Pastry Production NCII, Shielded Metal Arc Welding NCII, Pre-press Operation, Visual Graphic Design NCIII, Computer Systems Servicing NCII, etc.

Another scholarship program that had been implemented is the Private Education Student Financial Assistance (PESFA) which aims to provide financial assistance to deserving and qualified students. As for the PESFA scholars, they were given free training and assessment and student allowance. As of today, 55 graduated as PESFA scholars who were enrolled in Food and Beverage Services NCII and Computer Systems Servicing NCII trained under St. Amatiel Technological Institute, Inc., College of Saint Amatiel and Interface Computer College.

Lastly, Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) which offers trainings to certain communities for them to be employable and productive. STEP scholars were given a free training and assessment, daily allowance amounting to P60.00 and toolkits which can help them to start their own business. From January-June, there were 144 STEP scholars graduated from different short courses such as Small Appliance Repair, Automotive Engine Mechanical System, Bread Making, Cake Making, Hilot (Wellness Massage) NCII, Haircutting and Manicure and Pedicure. The STEP scholars were trained by our partner Technical-Vocational Institutions: Valenzuela City Polytechnic College, Alliance of Independent Manpower Technology (AIM Tech) Caloocan, Inc., St. Petervelle Technical Training Center, Inc. and Perpetual Help Technological School.

As for the moment, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) continues to implement its scholarship programs to help every Filipino to develop their knowledge and skills in the most affordable and accessible way. TESDA tends to produce a world-class Filipino workforce who can found employment locally and abroad by its implementing programs.
