TESDA -  NCR Commenced the very first Multiplier Training for Contact Tracing Level II Program

September 10, 2020 – The TESDA NCR Regional Office intensifies the Contact Tracing Level II Program by conducting a Multiplier Training beginning today, with 30 Participant-Trainers from the 6 Districts of the region – CAMANAVA, MANILA, MUNTIPARLASTAPAT, PAMAMARISAN, PASKMAK, and QUEZON CITY.

Dr. Joel John Dela Merced and Dr. Joey Cadano are the Lead Trainers for the first batch. The training will run for 7 days (approx. 48 hours), full online with a combination of synchronous and asynchronous approaches.

TESDA NCR Regional Director Florencio F. Sunico, Jr., on his opening message, expressed his happiness how the region responds when it is being called upon at this time of crisis, to do something to help and serve the community. He shared that this training is really time-bound, as it has to serve its purpose at present. The region decided to start with the Multiplier Training soon after the launch of the Contact Tracing Level II Program at the TESDA NCR MuntiParLasTaPat District to create a pool of competent trainers to increase the conduct of training. These Trainers who will soon complete the program will be joining the frontlines by doing the mandate of TESDA, in the direction of its Director General, Sec. Isidro Lapeña. RD Sunico ended his message by inspiring the trainers to find joy, meaning, and purpose in what they do because not everyone is given the privilege to serve.

Also present in the opening program are the TESDA NCR District Directors – Dir. Roland Dela Torre, Dir. Archie Grande, Dir. Rosalinda Talavera, Dir. Juliet Orozco, Atty. Balmyrson Valdez, and Dir. Mariflor Liwanag. They will be leading the post-training assistance after the graduation of the first batch, for the deployment of these trainers, and continuously train the future Certified Contact Tracers. As what RD Jun Sunico said, together we can all make a difference.
