Make a Copy of a Document for Each Student to Complete

Please note that when making a copy for each student you will always want to use Google document types. If you send a copy of a Microsoft document or PDF, the student cannot edit directly on their copy of the document without converting it first, which creates a completely new doc that is no longer attached to the assignment. If you have a Word or other document type you want to use, just convert it to a Google document version first, then send that out to students. This feature works with Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, & Drawings!

Edit or Archive a Class

Go to the Classes/Home page, click the three stacked dots at the corner of the class tile, and select "Archive" or "Rename."

Note that if you rename a class, you will need to manually rename the corresponding folder in Drive, as well. If you have multiple classes with similar names, we recommend doing this by clicking on the folder icon on the Classroom tile (like the one shown in the bottom right corner of the image above), then right-clicking on the name of the folder at the top of the content pane and selecting "Rename." This ensures that you are changing the name of the correct folder.
