G Suite for Scottsdale

Course Description

Welcome to the G Suite for Scottsdale training resources site!

G Suite for Education (formerly known as Google Apps for Education or GAFE) is a set of web-based applications created to streamline teaching and learning. This course will cover the basics of each of the primary Google Apps (GApps) used by the Scottsdale Unified School District.

The course is set up as a series of modules, each focusing on a different app and its functions in an educational environment. Additional modules will be added over time as the course evolves. Our goal is to provide modules covering everything on the Google Certified Educator exams so participants will be prepared to earn official Google certifications.

Participants may earn professional development credit for each task-based assessment by using prior knowledge and/or the provided tutorials to complete assessments, all of which will be submitted through Google Classroom. A district technology trainer will be available to answer questions and assist in any way needed as your instructor.

This course is intended for any employee at any level-of-use (beginner, basic, intermediate, advanced). Open labs, which are offered during Summer Institute and throughout the year, are completely optional.
