You have the option to share any file or folder in Drive either to individuals or by URL (or both).

Every item in Drive is web-based and therefore has its own unique URL. Below are some tips for sharing files and setting permissions.

Sharing Files/Folders in Drive

Sharing Tips:

  • When sharing with other @susdgapps addresses, keep in mind that usernames which include a number are students and those which do not contain a number are staff members.
  • Sharing to @susd.org or any other email which is not a Gmail account will not grant access to a file. You must share direct access using a Google account.
  • Link sharing will work with non-Google email addresses as long as you have opened link permissions to anyone with the link (no sign-in required), but they will not be able to edit unless you open that permission, as well.
  • If the permission level includes "at Scottsdale Unified School District," it means they must be logged into an @susdgapps account.
