The Jefferson City Rape and Abuse Crisis Service is a supportive counseling agency providing services for physically, emotionally, and sexually abused persons. Daily Services: Provides assistance to low-income individuals and families in crisis. Operates homeless shelter and offers emergency food, clothing, rent and utility assistance, as well as character building programs for youth and adults, counseling and referrals. Also provides seasonal assistance.

Services: Emergency shelter for abused/neglected children; care for children of families in crisis by private agreement; respite care for children in foster homes; Regional Child Advocacy Center provides site for team interviews of victims of child maltreatment, child SAFE exams and advocate services for victims; Sol House transitional living program for ages 16-21; outpatient counseling for individuals and families affected by child abuse; group counseling; child abuse resource library. Fee: None for shelter care, sliding fee or no charge for counseling, Medicaid accepted. Eligibility: Shelter serves children (ages 0-18) and families in crisis (self-referral or Children’s Division referral); Child Advocacy Center is available to law enforcement, DFS, juvenile office and prosecuting attorney; counseling is open to any individual or family affected by child abuse.

Hours: Referring agency representatives may contact St. Raymond’s Society on behalf of a client at 573-777-1498, Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Services: St. Raymond’s Society House is a transitional home for expectant and newly parenting mothers. Provides resources to mothers in need to become self-reliant and prepare them to give their child the security of a stable home. Offers additional support to pregnant and newly parenting woman who do not need housing but face other challenges, including financial assistance and baby supplies when funds allow.

Fee: Free of charge

Eligibility: Clients must be expectant or newly parenting mothers. Mothers and children five years old or younger may be eligible to live at St. Raymond’s Society House with their children. Residents of SRS House must be 18 years old or older.

Intake Procedures: Referral from another agency and application process.

Required Documentation for Services: St. Raymond’s Society application from referring agency, state ID, background check.

Geographic Area Served: Central Missouri

Population Served: Mother – Clients must be 18 or older to live at SRS House, however no age restrictions on clients living outside of SRS House
