Fairgrounds Park

28.7 acre park located at Adams Street and Fairgrounds Road, in the southwest area adjacent to the Mexico Junior High School and the Mexico Area Family YMCA. Features include: Lighted 50 meter swimming pool with diving area, slide and toddler wading areas Six lighted tennis courts, Lighted basketball court, Two soccer fields, with one more under construction, Volleyball court, Six horseshoe courts, Small softball field, Picnic shelter


Garfield Park

4 acre neighborhood park located in the south central area of Mexico. Ammenities include a shelter, playground area, two lighted basketball courts, restroom facilities, and regulation softball/baseball fields.


Green Estate Park

1.2 Mile walking trail located in central Mexico.


Hardin Park

Located at South Clark and Clay streets. Host site for many summer concerts and special events. Also has playground areas, picnic tables, restrooms and a gazebo.


Jefferson Street Mini-Park

Located on North Jefferson Street. This mini park is on the east side of the downtown square and offers leisure picnicking, lunching and socializing for downtown shoppers and merchants.


Lakeview Park

61.2 acre park located at the corner of Lakeview Road and Fairgrounds. Features: 24-acre fishing lake with a boat ramp and an ADA accessible fishing dock, Electric hookups, shelters, Picnicking, Basketball court, Horseshoes, Playground area, ADA accessible restroom facilities, Open space areas, 1.5 mile jogging/walking trail around the lake, and host of the Mexico Garden Club’s wildflower area and bluebirds.

The YMCA welcomes people from all socio-economic backgrounds. Assistance is available for Membership and in all Program areas for those who can demonstrate financial need. This program is made possible by our Annual Support Fund and the United Way. Applications for financial aid are available at the front desk. Appropriate documentation with proof of income must be submitted with application when turned in.

The community’s largest park totaling 127 acres is located on Curtis and Park Road, Wade and Hendricks Streets, bordering Mexico Senior High School. Features: Kiwanis Lake, a three acre fishing lake with a handicap accessible fishing dock, Open space, Three shelters, Picnicking, Basketball court, Frisbee golf course, Playground area, Nature trails, Restroom facilities, Green Field, a regulation baseball/softball field, Dorcus Trail


Robert S. Green Park

12-acre facility located at Muldrow and Hisey Streets Audrain County Historical Society’s Graceland Museum, Grand Prairie Outdoor Classroom, Nature trail, Shelter, Playground area, Volleyball court, A Country School, A Country Church, Saddle Horse Museum, Gazebo, Flower gardens, and Restroom facilities.
