Pedigree Chart
A pedigree chart shows family relationships over several generations. The chart can show the inheritance of a particular trait.
The pedigree chart shows the same pattern of inheritance as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, DMD. Males are shown as squares. A filled square means that the person has the disease. The half-filled circles indicate a female that is an unaffected carrier for the disease.
