physical blend

Physical Blend means that substances are not connected to each other.

the opposite of a physical blend would be chemical bonding, where the substances are fastened to each other. Oxygen O₂ is an example of two oxygen atoms bonded together. If you take normal oxygen this also contains argon and nitrogen (N₂) and this would be a physical blend because it consists of separate substances.
