Notes on Meiosis:

Meiosis creates sperm and egg cells.

Meiosis creates DIFFERENT cells.

These cells can merge together which is fertilization. If fertalization happens, a zygote is formed.

Zygotes will then divide and turn into fetuses which then become babies.

Meiosis is responsible for the variation that we see in our children.

These are referred to as sex cells because they are responsible for making babies during sexual reproduction.

Meiosis goes through two sets of PMAT called meiosis 1 and meiosis 2.

Meiosis 2 is where chromosomes cross over and cause variation.
