IN: Write down these six examples. Identify them as either a phrase (P) or a clause (C)
OUT: Make sure you have all the topics for today listed in your topic column. Fill in the table of contents using today's date for each of the topics listed for today. How many different types of compound sentences are there? What is the minimum requirement of independent clauses (IC) in a compound sentence? Summarize everything that you have learned today.
MAKE UP WORK: Complete the activity for the IN. Consider these examples of compound sentences and write down everything that the compound sentences have in common with each other. OUT: What clauses are necessary for making a complex sentence?
MAKE UP WORK: Complete the scavenger hunt for the IN. Using R8, identify subject (S), verb (V), conjunction (C), underline independent clauses (IC) and identify which sentence pattern is being used for the six sentences listed above. Identify these different conjunctions. Write two of each sentence pattern 5-8. Complete the OUT. You can submit the notes (include the IN and OUT) to my in-box.
