Extra Credit

Students may earn extra credit in multiple ways:

1. Return your signed syllabus to me by September 30th.

2. Practice IXL grammar outside of class per my instructions. See me before starting this extra credit so that I can give you a list of IXL categories that are specific to your skill level.

3. During the week when there is a writing sample scheduled, students may submit 5x9=45 (practice the sentence patterns by writing five of each of the nine patterns for a total of 45 sentences; also, you must you one phrase that you've highlighted per set).

4. Go to library during tutoring times to work on practice drills.

5. Winter Break & Spring Break IXL: Earn 90 on any 10th grade IXL Language Arts skill for 1 pt of extra credit. In other words, you'll earn 1 pt for each 10th grade 90.

6. Go to 90 on each week's Mastery List.
