BrightArrow is a powerful, feature-rich communication system designed to automatically deliver messages simultaneously to large groups of people directly from PowerSchool.
As of April 2025, the BrightArrow interface will change to BrightView. BrightView is a major redesign of the interface. Colors have changed and all pages are getting a more modern feel. The first change is that BrightView will no longer default to the My Lists page, now it defaults to BrightArrow Central which is a brand new dashboard. To learn more about this, view BrightView Introduction here.
If your campus is not already using BrightView, we highly recommend you switch over since the original/legacy view will be phasing out:
Go to the My Lists page.
In the "Select an Action" drop down, scroll to the bottom of the list and select Change to new look.
From there, select the green hamburger menu.
Scroll to the bottom of the list and select Switch to BrightView.
Select Yes to the pop up that appears.
In all iterations before BrightView, the default "home" page is the My Lists page. In BrightView the new default location is the dashboard called BrightArrow Central. The dashboard will initially show a chart of messages sent the past week as well as status of currently running messages and scheduled messages.
My lists originally showed all lists you had access to in the Original Look. Then in New Look, we introduced folders and lists in separate folders that could be expanded or collapsed and personal folders could be created to group lists by how you use them. In BrightView, we still have folders, but now you will see just 1 at a time. You'll also be able to see more or less detail depending on your personal preference.
Reduce the lists by searching for common attributes displayed on the screen such as part of the name, date, contact count.
Choose Users to View is now its own button making it easy to find and change as needed.
Folders appear as buttons rather than collapsible regions.
Your personal folders show first and have a star in the icon.
Account folders show a more basic icon.
Show the data you want -
Click on Advanced to view more data.
Click on Basic to show less data.
List grid -
Basic shows only the list name and how many records are in that list.
Advanced adds back the status, type, list updated, message sent, message changed columns that were in the New Look.

ADVANCED VIEW
Starting next Tuesday, 4/22/25, there will be a new feature that allows you to track who has opened your emails! This is not a retroactive feature and will only work on emails sent once it has been enabled.
Once available next week, simply go to the Reports section, then select an email you've sent. In the results pane at the bottom of the page, you'll see the new option to "Show Email Delivery Receipt" under 'Status Filters' to view the email's delivery status.
Here is a quick video to show you how this feature works. Please note, you can only fully utilize this feature if you are using the new BrightView interface.
