Grade Storing for Character Development Support Sessions

Q4 and Summer Character Development Sessions (SY26)

Please add your Q4 Character Development Session (LS3504E0) & roster (filter for off track) to PS ahead of course date. Before storing, confirm all students have a pass/fail grade added (resource: blank grades DB). Culture Leads have curriculum and sample comms.

Two options to store grades by the 7/31 deadline:

Submit a PS ticket and the PS Team will store Q4 and/or Summer SDC grades for you

Information to include in ticket: Course.SectionNumber, Teacher Name, and Date(s) SDC was held

Store Q4 and/or SDC grades on your own - see directions below

Step-by-Step Instructions for Storing Character Development Session Grades

1) From the PS Start page, click School Management (located at in the left navigation menu), then Academics > Store Grades.
2) Adjust settings as highlighted in the screenshots below based on the term of the Character Development Session course. (Additional information related to Grade Storing can be found on the Storing Grades page here.)
Note: Because Character Development Session course grades are stored separately from other course grades, please enter the Character Development Session course.section under the "Additional Filter Options." For example, LS3500E0.Na1.

Select if Storing for LS3500E0 - Q1 Character Development Session

Select if Storing for LS3502E0 - Q2 Character Development Session (S1)

Note: If "Semester 1" is not visible, select "Yes" next to "Show all terms?"

If a "Store Term Confirmation" message popup, select "Yes."

Select if Storing for LS3503E0 - Q3 Character Development Session

Select if Storing for LS3504E0 - Q4 Character Development Session (S2)

Note: If "Semester 2" is not visible, select "Yes" next to "Show all terms?"

If a "Store Term Confirmation" message popup, select "Yes."

End of Year Character Development Session Summary:

If students qualify for the summer class because of >=40 CRs for the year, they need a pass record for LS3505E0 - Summer Character Development Session (S3)

If a student had >=2 WRS skips in Q4 and < 40 CRs for the year, put them in the LS3504E0 - Q4 Character Development Session class because that's what their SDC qualification is for.

If a student had >=15 CRs in Q4 but less than <40 CRs for the year, put them in the LS3504E0 - Q4 Character Development Session because that's what their SDC qualification is for.

If a student qualifies for the Q4 class and not the summer but they fail to complete the SDC Q4 class, then they will eventually need a LS3505E0 - Summer Character Development Session (S3) pass.

If a student qualifies for both quarterly and summer reasons, then you can either do both or just do the summer. In the end, they need a pass record for LS3505E0 - Summer Character Development Session (S3) to be promoted.

LS3500E0: Q1 Character Development Session
LS3502E0: Q2 Character Development Session
LS3503E0: Q3 Character Development Session
LS3504E0: Q4 Character Development Session
LS3505E0: Summer Character Development Session

As a reminder, the Character Development Session course and grade are not displayed on student transcripts.

If you encounter any errors storing Character Development Session grades, please sign out of PS, sign back in, and try storing grades again following the provided screenshot listed in the above term section.
