From the student's PowerSchool page, select Student Profile > Guardian and Student Account Access.
If the parent/guardian has a PiwerSchool account, the parent/guardian name will be listed under Parent Access Accounts. Click on the parent/guardian name to view parent/guardian PowerSchool account details. If there are no names listed under Parent Access Accounts, jump to Step 2.
Under Web Account Access, select Edit Account.
View or update parent/guardian's username and password as needed. Click Submit to save any changes made to the parent/guardian login creditenals. Share the username and password with the parent/guardian.
From the PowerSchool homepage, switch the search to Contacts. Using the different available Contact search fields, search for the parent/guardian's using Last Name, First Name, Email, and/or Phone Number.
If you're able to locate the parent/guardian, click on their name to view account details. If you're not able to locate the parent/guardian, jump to Step 3.
Under Students, select Add Students.
Enter the student name in the search. Under the Search Results, check the student to add/link to the parent/guardian's PowerSchool account, add the relationship to student, and check Data Access. Click Submit to save.
Under Web Account Access, select Edit Account.
View or update parent/guardian's username and password as needed. Click Submit to save any changes made to the parent/guardian login creditenals. Share the username and password with the parent/guardian.
From the student's PowerSchool page, click on the printer icon located at the top of the page. Print report titled, "How To Create A Parent PS Account Steps - English/Spanish."
You can share instructions with the parent/guardian so they can create a PowerSchool account.
