Hello and welcome to the Enterprise Core Subject Knowledge!
The following pages have everything that you need to know to get started as a MyBnk enterprise trainer.
We have a clear vision of what we are trying to achieve with our enterprise programmes. Please start by reading through the attached documents on:
- Vision- MyBnk's approach and aims for enterprise programmes
- Structure- stages of the enterprise journey for young people on MyBnk programmes
- Learning Outcomes- what we want young people to learn and achieve in enterprise programmes
- Knowledge Outline- knowledge requirements
All of these documents will be explained in more detail at training but it will be helpful if you have read and reflected on them beforehand. You can view them here or download these documents at the end of the page.
Modules
There are 6 modules in the Enterprise CSK and you will need to work through them all. MyBnk enterprise programmes are very practical so there is an emphasis on how you can use the knowledge in your workshop deliveries. You can access the modules by clicking on the links below.
Assessment
We will assess your knowledge of the Enterprise CSK and you will need to pass the assessment to be a qualified MyBnk enterprise trainer.
What is the assessment?
- There are two sections to the assessment of the Enterprise Core Subject Knowledge- an online test and an observed co-delivery with verbal assessment.
- Both parts of the assessment will take place on the same day.
- You will do an observed co-delivery of a MyBnk enterprise session with verbal assessment followed by an online test.
How long will it take me to prepare for the assessment?
- This will depend on your existing knowledge levels but we estimate that it will take a maximum of 4 days to study the Enterprise Core Subject Knowledge.
- You must read every module.
- You will need to know about all the bullet points in the Enterprise Core Subject Knowledge Outline (attached at the bottom of this page)
- The Enterprise Core Subject Knowledge is very practical so you should think about how you will use it in your deliveries.
- The majority of the assessment will be on how you use the Enterprise Core Subject Knowledge in your workshop deliveries.
What do I need to do for each part of the assessment?
1. Observed co-delivery with verbal assessment- 70% preparation time
- The observed co-delivery will be with an experienced MyBnk trainer
- The co-delivery will be observed by a member of the Quality and Training team (Ben or Steve)
- During the co-delivery, you will be observed and assessed on your understanding of the MyBnk enterprise vision and learning outcomes
- After the co-delivery, there will be a verbal assessment where you will be asked additional questions about your understanding of the MyBnk enterprise vision and learning outcomes
What type of questions will I be asked in the verbal assessment?
- You will be asked questions about your co-delivery
- You will also be given case studies or scenarios and asked how you would respond.
- For example, a case study could be: 'There's an enterprise team thinking about printing their own T-shirts. What questions would you ask to help them develop their idea?'
- The Q&T team will want to assess your understanding of the 6 stages of the MyBnk enterprise journey.
- We will want to know how you would guide and support young people at each stage and through the enterprise journey.
2. Online Test- 30% preparation time
- The second part of assessment is an online test.
- You will be asked about key ideas and facts from the Enterprise Core Subject Knowledge Outline (attached to the bottom of this page)
- It will be a 45 minute test with multiple choice and short answer questions on all the modules except Module 5.
- The pass mark will be 80%
- You will not be able to use notes
