It's an interesting question and one which many of us have imagined at one point or another.
Despite its radical / imaginary nature it's an idea that was recently put to the test in Switzerland. The proposal to give every adult and child a basic wage was put to a country wide referendum but defeated 78% - 22%. www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-36454060
The Dutch are giving is a go in the City of Utrecht in 2017. Finland are also giving it some thought. Anyone like to predict the findings? I'll bet the young people we work with would have a opinion or two they'd like to share!
