Worlds Worst Dictators Debate

You will:

• 1. Work in Groups of 2

  2. Choose a LIVING, WORKING dictator (see definition above).

  3. Create 1 power point slide that describes:

     1. Who

     2. What

     3. Why

  4. Prepare a CONVINCING  4 minute presentation intent on persuading the class that your dictator is the WORST.

• • 1. Use FACTS

    2. Provide EVIDENCE

• 5. COMPETE in a Bracketed Debate

• • In groups of 3 we will put your Dictator teams HEAD TO HEAD. You will have an open floor debate moderated by Ms A.

    • 1st round brackets will be determined by a draw.

    • Debates in each bracket will be 6 minutes.

  • After each bracket debates, the winner (worst dictator wins by vote of the class) goes on to the next bracket.

  • The final round will be between the 2 worst dictators

  • Debate winners get 5 points of extra credit
