Who's Who Identification Quiz Order:
DIRECTIONS FOR THE WHO'S WHO PRESENTATION ASSIGNMENT
Everyone get a laptop from the carts in the room. Don't open them right away - you have a few things to do before you start working on them.
Watch Current Events. Together as a class you will watch the BBC One Minute World News Linked HERE.
After you have watched together please go on-line and take 15 minutes to explore additional global news from today - familiarize yourself with the things that are happening today. Next, turn to a neighbor near you and find out from them what stories they read. Discuss and analyze what you learned and be prepared to discuss when I return.
WHO'S WHO Project...
1. The teacher will hand out the "Name and Job Bank" worksheet.
This is a list of the names of the people you have to choose from for this project.
For this project you will:
Choose a leader from this list
Research that leader
Create a SHORT 3 slide power point on this leader.
2. Read through the list. You will know some names but others will be new to you. Don't worry... you'll be okay if you don't know the job of the person you are assigned yet.
3. Next you will choose a number from the GREEN BUCKET. The number you pick = the order in which you will get to choose your leader. If you choose a "CHOICE" tag from inside the bucket - this means that at the end of the selection you get to PARTNER with anyone in class. ONLY these people get to be in groups of 2. All others will work interdependently.
4. The teacher will collect the choices/selections one by one. After this you will begin working to research and prepare your presentation.
5. In your Google Drive - International Relations Folder, you will find a document that is a TEMPLATE for your assignment. Please follow this template as a LOOSE list of suggestions for your presentation. If there is a question on one of the slides that doesn't seem to fit for your leader - you don't have to answer it or you can replace it with another relevant piece of information. My wish is for you to create 3 slides that help clearly communicate who your leader is and what they do. Please try not to worry too much if you are "doing it right". TRUST YOURSELF. If you are communicating who they are, what they do and why it matters... then I bet you are on the right track. Send me an e-mail if you really feel stuck.
6. You should work on this assignment until you are finished. When you are done you can use the rest of class for quiet study.
