Combining Innovation & Technology
The Challenge: Create pixel art that could be an example of an NFT (Non-Fungible Token) using Minecraft. NFT's have gained great popularity (and now have fallen a bit) and some sold for millions of dollars. Your challenge is to create your own style and version of characters or digital art using Minecraft as your pixel art software. It can be a singular work of art or a collection such as the Crypto Punks.
The Details:
Brainstorm an idea of a single NFT (pixel art) or a series of similar NFT's that you would like to create.
You can design your own pieces of art of try and recreate something in Minecraft.
Open up minecraft on any of the CMA Lab computers (instructions are below).
Create your pixel art.
Take screenshots or a screen recording to include your final works of art in your presentation.

How to use the Minecraft available in the CMA Lab:
TWO RULES WHEN USING MINECRAFT IN THE CMA LAB. BOTH WITH RESULT IN NOT BEING ALLOWED TO USE MINECRAFT ANYMORE.
1) You are only allowed in YOUR OWN world. If you go in another student's world, you will not have the priviledge of using Minecraft in the CMA Lab.
2) You MUST be on creative mode. NO SURVIVAL ALLOWED.
Choose 'Single Player' to create a world. Once the world is created, if you want your partner to join your world, you must 'Open to Lan' by pressing the 'esc' key and clicking on 'Open to LAN'.
If you are working with a partner, your partner should take the same steps to to get onto Minecraft HOWEVER, rather than selecting 'Single Player', choose 'Multiplayer' then find your world.

GREEN CIRCLE (1 PT.)
Used Minecraft to build something but did not complete an NFT
Presentation slides complete but may need more communication
BLUE CIRCLE (2 PTS.) IN ADDITION TO ALL IN THE GREEN CIRCLE....
NFT or NFT's were completed.
How the NFT's were made is clearly communicated in the presentation slides.
Visuals are great representations of the work done. Screenshots are high quality and clearly show the finished NFT.
NFT's are done with a certain artistic style.
BLACK DIAMOND (3PTS) IN ADDITION TO ALL IN THE GREEN CIRCLE & BLUE SQUARE...
Completed NFT's are original.
NFT's have a message. They could be environmental, about Shepard, Sports, etc. There should be a theme and purpose behind them.
Presentation slides fit the theme of your NFT's. Slides clearly communicate their purpose and how they were made.
