NE2D: Lowering Ceiling & Lighting

• • We want to lower the ceiling for better sound (reduce HVAC noice; better acoustic) and look (hide the beams and piples, probably wires for A/V, too), and lighting.

• • Ceiling -- Brother William suggests that we don't lower the ceiling, since a high ceiling gives a meeting area a more spacious feeling than a 9' or 10' ceiling.

    • Instead of lowering the ceiling, we will hang some sound damping boards from the ceiling.

  • Lighting -- We'd like to remove all of the CFL light tubes, and install other kinds of hanging lights.
