  • Reviewed 2nd half of message 2 of Spring ITERO.

  • Church outing:

    • Activities: Kenneth & Alfred and Pingping Shao to coordinate. Activities info should be posted next week to allow saints time to organize among themselves.

    • Saturday morning time by meal groups:

      • Brothers from each meal group will need to coordinate to decide the content for their respective group, inline with the overall burden of bringing the saints into the reading and enjoying of the Word.

      • See also the material to consider for LD 3rd section below.

    • Pocket New Testament Rcv (50 En, 50 Ch): each saint will be given one, latest Saturday morning. We may encourage saints to try to find a time during activity time to read one chapter.

    • Saturday evening meeting (all together)

      • We plan to have 5+ testimonies from the saints (each maybe some 7 minutes?) on various ways by which they read/enjoy the Word.

      • We may have: (1) studying the word: J Kan's example on "vessel" (2) singing the word: YP on Philippians (3) reading the word using pocket Rcv: Kenneth (4) pray-reading the word TBD (5) corporate pursuit in the word TBD (Chinese-speaking saints?).

      • Brother Philip Chen will give a word, too, as opening or concluding.

    • Childcare: D Wang asked on behalf of his small group about childcare, mainly for Saturday evening and Lord's Day. We need clarification from George & S Lin.

  • Labor Day Conference corporate prophesying

  • Details on the format & arrangement from norcal are posted on the church website. We should all familiarize ourselves and help the saints.

    • For our designate group (San Jose, Cupertino, Pleasanton, Fresno) covering the last message #12 on LD, Cupertino should have

      • 1 "younger brother" in the given age range to coordinate with two others from San Jose and Pleasanton to together give an opening word of 15 minutes: Kenneth T.

      • 5 saints to speak one minute each (in outline sequence) in the designate group time:

        • Expecting 3 from En district: 1 brother (Bohang) + 2 sisters.

        • (Expecting two more from Ch district).

    • In addition, one saint to prepare to speak in the open time slot in each of the 3 x #language meetings on Saturday (hopefully one of the leading brothers will go Friday to lead by example). That is, 3 en + 3 Ch.

      • Expecting 1 sis + 2 brothers from the En side; D Wang one of them

    • Thus from Cupertino En district, besides Kenneth & Bohang & D Wang, we plan to encouragae and shepherd

      • 3 sisters to prophesy: 2 in the designate group + 1 in one other message. JS to ask Rebecca/Tiffany/June to coordinate & shepherd sisters to speak, e.g. Carmen and more.

      • 1 more brother: e.g. Grigori (or Armen).

  • LD 3rd section

    • Please review the recording of last (July) monthly meeting with Minoru. We no longer call it the gateway meeting as brother Minoru felt we should use the 3rd section in a very flexible way, both in the content and the format. We should be ready to adjust after few months. The key burden really is for the local brothers to labor to cook our own food.

    • To resume after the church outing, ie. September after the Labor Day Conference, with a line along the burden of the outing, ie. bringing the saints into the reading and enjoying of the word. The initial format may simply be the same as the family training that we had.

    • We may start considering the material: e.g.

      • Whatever brother Philip may recommend for our consideration for the outing Saturday morning group time.

    • SST "The Bible"; see the table of content of the 11 lessons in page 2 of the workbook.
