It seems an effective location for tabling according to my "remote" observations.
The banner did draw people's attention, though we might not have the best location. We had the delima of choosing one direction over the other.
It should be fine once we have the placard (plaque; in order) to cover the opposite direction.
Survey does not work with people walking around, better for those sitting down, not busy. There are some 10 benches/tables around in the square before the library for people to sit down.
For me, there people were quite willing to take the tracts (10+ out, only 2 rejects).
On a weekend like we did, the proper team size for the library may be just 4-6: 2-3 at the table; 1-2 pairs ("runners") reaching people with survey or tracts.
On weekdays, there should be more traffic, more people sitting/waiting in the city center opposite to the library. It may be good for another banner set with one more pair of runners (+ 3-4). We were told the restaurant on the other side of the street also has good traffic during lunch hours.
Good to scout it out (I can if I get to sneak out of work the coming Thursday as we are done with De Anza College for the quarter.)
Need checklists of things to bring. We forgot the sandbags for the banner stands.
Need to plan out the collection of stats: #bibles/tracts/surveys, #contacts and recording their info for follow up ... etc.
Brother David shared with us the practice by some saints in Fremont. They logged for each going out: (1) #contacts (handing out a tract counts) (2) #talking w/ us (3) #to follow up, in addition to other info like #minutes (some short 15 minutes ones), # of saints etc.
