9:15-10:15 Lesson design: BDA and Model of Engagement (PLN)

• Before: What are the elements of an effective lesson? Describe/sketch the format of an effective lesson plan template. (Handout) Share with partner/table groups.

• During: Model lesson (Handout) (Lesson Plan)

• After: Debrief components of the lesson, format (PLN Model of Engagement), teacher/student role. (Debrief slides)

  • Independently, revisit your Before handout. What did you see in this lesson that you can add?

• Grouping cards: Share revised elements of effective instruction and revised lesson plan template. What will you do with this information?
