Remake Learning's Personalized Learning Framework
Which elements and components are coachable?
If there are multiple coachable components under one element, where would you start?
What systems are in place that enable personalized learning?
Keep in mind:
In isolation, these elements and components are not necessarily personalized learning.
Having and using a makerspace in your school is not necessarily personalized learning.
There is a difference between individualization, differentiation, and personalization. Unpack the columns of the PDI chart. What do you see as the differences? What distinguishes personalization from the others?
Used together, the framework, the spaces that lend themselves to discovery, and learner agency can be used deliberately to create authentic, equitable learning opportunities centered around each learner’s readiness, needs, and interests.
Learner agency is critical! Examine the Agency Continuum through a learner lens and an educator lens.
