Ensure 4” minimum clearance is present at the bottom of the base crawl space vents. If not possible, request a semi circle window guard from Superintendent per vent with less than 4” of clearance.
Ensure the top of the backfill is no more than 5’10” from the center of the circular hole in the meter base.
Ensure that when backfill is finished it is as close to final grade as is possible, if you have any questions about what that would look like, reach out to the PM or SI.
Ensure that all dirt bordering the house is tamped down properly, either by machine or by hand, to ensure that water continuously runs away from the house.
Ensure that there is a flat area for the exterior HVAC unit to be placed. The area in which it will be going will either be denoted by either HVAC being written on the wall or copper tubing running out of the wall, this area will be 4’x4’ square.
Ensure that under the decks and front porch are backfilled properly. No large stones or debris is to be left under the deck, and positive drainage is achieved away from the house.
Positive drainage must be a 6” of fall over the first 10’ from the house, swells may also be necessary to ensure proper water drainage away from the house.
Ensure that when backfilling against the house that the J Drain and its connection points are properly secured BEFORE covering them with dirt.
Ensure that 6” connectors are attached to tubing and run away from the house before completion of backfill.
