ACT THREE: Outside Graziano’s House
SCENE ONE: Pantalone, The Doctor, Orazio, Arlecchino
Pantalone arrives and he and the Doctor begin talking about a marriage deal. However, despite the best efforts of Orazio and Arlecchino, the lie is uncovered, and the vecchi realize they’re being tricked. Both storm off angrily.
SCENE TWO: Orazio, Arlecchino
Orazio, unhappy about the failed plan and Aurelia’s impending marriage to Captain Spavento, cries and contemplates suicide. Arlecchino tries, without success, to comfort him.
