ACT TWO: Inside Pantalone’s House
SCENE ONE: Pantalone, Aurelia, The Captain
Pantalone introduces Aurelia to Captain Spavento and explains that he is thinking about having her marry the Captain, who is about to go off to war. The wedding is to take place the following day. Aurelia sulks off. The Captain leaves soon after.
SCENE TWO: Pantalone, Columbina
Columbina approaches Pantalone and puts the plan into action. Believing that Doctor Graziano has become rich, Pantalone goes off to visit him and discuss a possible marriage between Orazio and Aurelia.
