Preparation work for live session

For this session you will write a response to the one of the following questions:

• To what extent do you believe that natural talent is essential for success?

• Should academic journals relax their standards of English in order to encourage contributions from non-native speakers of English?

You should support your answer with references to the texts we have looked at over the last two weeks. All the key writing skills that we've been practising on the course are outlined below so you can bring everything together. We'll use the live session time today to discuss the feedback you gave and received and talk about any areas of writing you still need to work on.
